Day 60: "There's No Crying In Bikram."

Author: Me /

We are 60 days in, people. Only 41 left. And now, we move past the "emotional phase" of the challenge (hopefully) and into the the stage where our bodies rapidly evolve and change shape.

(God, I hope this is true. I really want my thighs to thin out!)

At this point in the challenge, there is no way we won't finish. We've made it through almost two-thirds. We know the variety of feelings to expect after each class. There are no bad surprises. Only good surprises. Like...
  • Kicking out in Standing Head to Knee.
  • Finally keeping butt on heels in Half Tortoise.
  • Wrapping that left leg around the right in Eagle.
  • Mastering Savasana with pure perfection and stillness never before imagined.
I've noticed in the past week that I am much less emotional than I have been lately. No more tears bursting out of my eyes in class. I appear to be in better control of my emotions. So now, I am looking forward to the next 30 days and seeing amazing progress in my practice and in my body.

There's no (more) crying in Bikram.

When I first saw the title of this post, I thought "Oh no!" I'm only doing the 60-day challenge and there have been a lot of tears in the last week. I feel better now that I've read it! Go 101 Day Challengers!!
