DAY NINE: Showing Up

Author: bikramyogachick /

"Eighty percent of success is just showing up"
Woody Allen

Are you still excited? Chomping at the bit to get in your car and get to your Bikram class? Or have you run into some life snags and thought to yourself "Oh my gosh, how on earth am I going to make it to 101 days? It's only day 9!"
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Just get there. Just go to the studio, lay down your mat and let the teacher guide you through the class. I promise you that whether or not you wanted to go, whether or not you are feeling well, you will never be sorry you went. The first 30 days is about working through the logistics of getting there and working through the physical woes of getting used to a daily practice. Days 30 through 60 you will hit your stride. Days 60 through 90 you will start to see a leaner more toned you in the mirror. Your skin will be glowing and your body will change.
Just get to the studio.....everyday.

SO TRUE!!!!
I am so glad that we are all in this together. Really makes showing up every day that much easier. Love reading the blogs, too! :)

Yes! Just in these 9 days, life and my schedule have thrown me a few curve balls, and I had to change plans in order to get to class. If not for the challenge, I think I woulda blown off class at least a few times. Like lynx, I am really glad to have this community.

Definitely! Getting ourselves to class is the toughest part by far. As one of my teachers so thoughtfully says, "90 percent of the battle is just getting yourself into the room."

So true!
First goal: make it one week, and that is passed :-)
Second goal: Make it to double digets, and that is today :-)
Third goal: Make it less than 90 days left, soon there.
Breaking it down into small steps, and seeing the progress, both in the goals reached and in the mirror and also in life makes it so easy then to finish up all the 101 days.

I'm so glad for this community, it strengthens me.
